Today I have the pleasure of introducing Juan R. Garcia, Chief Executive Officer and Founder of the Biotechnology Business Institute, in Barcelona, and BioSeed Capital in the United Kingdom. He spent the initial part of his career in the laboratory as a researcher and has since become an entrepreneur.

Barcelona has been the first city hosting ENABLE symposium, an European initiative for young scientists included in the “Celebrating European Science” section of the EU’s Horizon 2020 Program

 More than 300 PhD and Postdoctoral students from all over Europe have met in the first European symposium of Biomedicine held in the Palauet Casades, in the centre of Barcelona. The conference, entitled "Breaking down complexity. Innovative models and techniques in Biomedicine" connected the students with new career opportunities in the world of science unexplored for most researchers.
